Professional, effective, and confidential help for adults in the Burke area.
Nova Terra Therapy provides individual counseling to clients who are confronting a challenge, whether it’s with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or another of life’s curveballs. Working with a trained therapist can offer you much-needed support, clarity, strategies to try in a relationship, new ways to think about old problems, tools, techniques, relief, and more. Most importantly, this all happens in a safe, confidential environment where you don’t have to worry about the impact of your words, who in your family might be upset, or whether or not you will be heard.
Your therapist will listen, not judge; support, not take over; reflect, not overreact; and will help you find your own clarity, not tell you what to do. This is time to focus on you, with warm, empathic support, and no distractions.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Most clients and their therapist meet weekly to start, though the schedule can vary due to individual needs and wishes. Some therapists may offer longer appointments by request. Please feel free to ask if an extended session would best meet your needs.
Your first session is considered an intake appointment, meaning that your therapist will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the concerns you are bringing to counseling, as well as your background and how you are doing currently.
Please note that if coming into the office is not convenient, whether due to your busy schedule, travel for work, or personal preference, Nova Terra Therapy offers online counseling for clients whose primary residence is in Virginia or for clients who live overseas. Some clients elect to have a distance therapy appointment rather than rescheduling if they are on a trip out of town. Whatever your scheduling needs, we hope to meet them.
How to Book
Interested in an appointment? You can reach out for an appointment in one of several ways:
1) Self-scheduling via the online client portal. You pick out a time, schedule it, and we will follow up with confirmation.
2) Emailing email@example.com or calling us at 571-386-0168 so we can help you to find the best fit among our clinicians.
3) By reaching out directly to the counselor with whom you would like to work. This option is best if you have questions or would like a 15-minute free phone consultation before committing to a full session.
